Auckland Writers Read-In to raise funds for Christchurch
The New Zealand Society of Authors in conjunction with Auckland Libraries organised a Writers' Read In at 32 libraries throughout the greater Auckland area on Friday, 25th March. Over 170 authors gave of their time to read from their works to raise funds for earthquake stricken Christchurch.
The Grey Lynn Library had some creative fund-raising ideas!

Floral Fiesta was a hit in New Plymouth. As well as commercially provided tulips, anemones, ranunculas and peonies the heroes were divine branches of garden picked rhododendrons ... soft pink, loud pink, orange, cerise and more. Arranged in a classic urn they evoked the return of Constance Spry!...
