A bit about Fionna Hill...
Fionna was born in Timaru, New Zealand and brought up by two good gardeners, aka her mum and dad. ‘OE’ in London gave her the opportunity to train as a professional florist at 'Constance Spry,' and then work in their prestigious Chelsea shop.
Fionna has authored or co-authored six successful international gardening, floral, and food books and also written and styled and taken photographs for lifestyle and gardening magazines and travel writing. |

Flowers, a passion for cooking and interest in gardening led Fionna to growing her own edibles and to write 'How to Grow Microgreens, Nature's own Superfood.' It is currently selling in many countries and is in five languages. Microgreens are the latest trend in gourmet greens; they're the tiny first leaves of edible seedlings and are great for salads, garnishes and many more dishes.
Her new book, “How to Grow Edibles in Containers, Good Produce from Small Spaces,” will inspire those of you with little or no garden, to grow interesting and healthy edibles that you can enjoy yourselves.
Vegetable gardening at an Auckland city organic community garden also became a consuming passion and this is the subject of Fionna's book - 'A Green Granny's Garden,' a Year of the Good Life in Grey Lynn - The confessions of a novice urban gardener.' It's a kindle book too. Sarah ‘also available on Amazon’ – most of my books are on Amazon but this is the only digital one?
Fionna's earlier books are 'Country Style Flowers', 'Celebrations' which she co-wrote with food writer Jo Seagar and 'The Christmas Book' which she contributed the floral designs for.
